Business Owners – how to have a good Christmas

Business Owners – how to have a good Christmas

Christmas background

Christmastime brings extra pressures for business owners - you maybe needing:

  • to spend more time with your family and friends
  • a push for Christmas related sales
  • time to reflect on business in 2016 and planning for 2017
  • to complete self- assessment tax returns
  • some time to re-charge your batteries

So, at the beginning of December, here is a 15-minute activity to help you have a good Christmas.

1.  Sitting on your own, with a pen and paper to hand - visualise -

It’s Monday 2 January 2017 – reflect on your good Christmas – what does it feel like?  Note down:

For my good Christmas - in my personal life - What did I do?  What didn’t I do (be specific)

For my good Christmas - in my business life - What did I do?  What didn’t I do (be specific)

2.  Back to today – what do I need to do to plan now to bring about my good Christmas?

Make a list and prioritise activities / tasks.

3.  Slot your activities / tasks into your December calendar.  How does it look?

Where are the pressure points?  How can you re-prioritise to alleviate these?

However you balance your energy over the festive period, take time to nurture yourself, ready for the New Year.
